PRIORAT | 2015 MAGRAN| Spanish Red Wine 

The balsamic and powerful 2015 Magran Partida Les Manyetes is pure Garnacha from the zone known as Manyetes in Gratallops. It’s produced with fruit from seven-year-old vines on trellises on slate soils. It’s ripe and a bit heady, but the palate reveals a lot of oak, having spent 12 months in brand new French barriques. The effect of the oak makes me hesitate, and it just might be that it needs more time… 1,500 bottles were filled in March 2017. Wine Advocate
